As a courtesy to our SHPOA Members, we’re bringing you a summary of each Stone Harbor Work Session and Council Meeting. Intended as summaries, these intentionally don’t have a lot of details and are not a substitute for the official Borough minutes.

Work Session
Car Stops and Open Windows
Police reported that in November that they stopped 43 motor vehicles, issued 10 summonses, responded to two vehicle accidents, fielded three animal complaints and responded to reports of 27 open doors and windows.

Getting Ready for the 2025 Season
Beach Patrol is repairing lifeboats and getting paperwork ready for lifeguards returning in 2025.

Natural Resources
Stockton University is set to present a beach report by the end of the year and a report on the bay side in 2025.
The point road remains closed.

Retiring Mayor Judith Davies-Dunhour
Throughout the meeting, members of council, the borough staff, and public thanked retiring two-term Mayor Judith Davies-Dunhour for her tireless commitment to the borough.

Regular Meeting
The council passed several resolutions including those to refund over payments of taxes, move funds around in the budget, and authorize a dune vegetation management plan. It also voted on resolutions to remove Manny Parada from his posts as Borough Administrator and Public Works Director. The vote on each resolution removing Parada was 5-0 with Council Member Victor Foschini abstaining.
