Stone Harbor faces many challenges, and chief among them are the town’s financial condition and outlook , and its governance. SHPOA works hard to center these issues and engage with our elected officials across the breadth of these challenges. And as part of that effort, we sponsored an online forum for you to hear directly from candidates for council and ask them questions. We invited both candidates who will be on the June primary ballot. Ken Biddick, who currently serves on the council and chairs the budget committee, has agreed to participate. Wendi Powers, who is seeking her first term, declined our invitation to participate.
Mr. Biddick brings deep financial experience to his role and discussed the 2026 municipal budget, the town’s approach to financial management, and other issues on which he has taken the lead.
