Please join the Clean Ocean Action, the Borough of Stone Harbor, the Stone Harbor Property Association and The Wetlands Institute by volunteering for the 2019 Fall Beach Sweep!

Volunteers meet on Saturday, October 26th from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PMNo registration necessary, just show up at the 95th street Beach Patrol headquarters.

Bring gloves and dress appropriately for the weather (do not wear sandals). Trash bags and trash pickers will be provided. It’s fun and it’s the one time that you are allowed on the dunes. We have had great turnouts for past Beach Sweeps, and these community events are more than just people picking up trash from our beaches and dunes.

This semi-annual program builds community support for Stone Harbor beaches as well as raises awareness about the negative impacts of litter on wildlife and the ocean. We’ll see you on the morning of October 26th.
