As a courtesy to our SHPOA Members, we’re bringing you a summary of each Stone Harbor Work Session and Council Meeting. Intended as summaries, these intentionally don’t have a lot of details and are not a substitute for the official Borough minutes.

Work Session
Most of the meeting focused on the “special event” proposed for August 29th and 30th. Suzanne Hunter, who resides in Cape May Court House and is owner of Sea Glass Grotto, has submitted an application to have the “Sea Glass and Coastal Art Festival” on the fields at 80th Street. This will be a juried art show originally aimed at attracting 100 to 150 participants. However, the organizational efforts for this event are behind schedule. As a result, 50 to 100 participants are anticipated. Ms. Hunter’s goal is for this festival to resemble the former Arts and Crafts Show that was held in Stone Harbor for many years on the first weekend of August. Councilmember Bunny Parzych reported she had received a great deal of positive support for Ms. Hunter and her efforts for this festival.

Regular Meeting
The Resolution for this Special Event was approved contingent on the expense to Stone Harbor being recognized and reviewed. Additionally, council approved Francine Springer as temporary, interim financial officer and set dates for the farmers market for Sundays beginning May 24, 2026 through September 20, 2026.
