Executive Committee

Bob Charamella, Richard Fuchs, Jennifer Gensemer, Jack Kelleher

Comprised of the five (5) Officers.  The primary role is to provide guidance to all committees according to the core mission of the SHPOA.  They give short and long-term strategic direction and ensure that SHPOA is executing all duties in an appropriate manner.  This Committee, or its individual officers, represents the SHPOA at key functions related to the Borough or its affiliations/associations.  Interfaces with ALHOA.

Beach & Bay Committee

Wally Bishop, Bret Dunlap, Len Trainor, Frank Dallahan, Marc Yacker, Paul Grady, Leonard Pfeiffer, Beth Toolen

Represent the SHPOA and research information on any issue relating to the beach and bay locally, as well as regional and state issues that may affect Stone Harbor such as water conservation, dunes, dredging, fishing, inlets, sand replenishment, pollution, flooding, marina, and other water front issues and development. A representative on the Natural Resources Committee within the Council.

Borough Operations & Improvements

All Trustees

Represent the membership at Borough meetings, primarily the third Tuesday of each month.  There are also Council, Zoning, Planning, as well as School Board, and other special meetings called to discuss issues relative to the Borough. Actions at these meetings should be reported out to the Trustees and Communications’ Committee for distribution to members as appropriate.

Communications & Technology Committee

Jack Kelleher, Anton Reut, Jennifer Gensemer, Karen Bohn, Beth Toolen, Kerry Mulvey, Stephen Hudson

Responsible for communicating to the SHPOA membership, the Stone Harbor Community, and regionally, as appropriate, through newsletters, e-mail, private and public media, Facebook and the SHPOA website.  Manage the SHPOA website Facebook page and assist the Membership Committee in soliciting new memberships and renewals.  Conduct member surveys on topical issues.  Connect with all newspapers and media with our information.  Prepare all posters for meetings and distribute to the Borough and Chamber of Commerce for posting in public locations.

Finance & Administration

Richard Fuchs, Paul Grady

Focus is on all financial and accounting matters related to revenue and expenditure transactions.  Adhering to sound accounting principles, the committee manages and reports on all budgetary items to the Trustees at large.  Engage in periodic audit procedures and ensure all appropriate insurances are in place to mitigate any risks to the mission of the SHPOA and its Trustees.
